Yin/Restorative and Massage
Back by popular demand!
This class blends two similar styles of slower paced yoga that is suitable for most ability levels. Class will start with more yin style yoga with long held poses that offer a deep stretch to connective tissue and end with relaxing restorative yoga that provides space to help calm the mind and nervous system. Postures are normally seated or lying down and modifications are given for students to choose how active or relaxing they want their practice. Kristina, our AMAZING massage therapist will apply her healing massage techniques to help relax your even more!
For this class it is highly recommended to have several blankets and pillows available. Yoga blocks and bolsters are also helpful if you have them. The idea is to get as comfortable and relaxed as possible. A small towel for over the eyes, and essential oils can work wonders as well! Make sure to dress in layers or bring an extra blanket to stay warm!
We will leave a tip jar out for Kristina if you want to send some good Karma her way. No extra charge for this event- all memberships and class packages will apply.
A Spine Centered Practice: A Workshop with Jo Lewzy
Discover the power of spinal alignment in this informative and transformative workshop led by Jo Lewzey. When we understand how to properly align the spine, we gain a greater sense of body awareness and the ability to self-correct posture, both on and off the mat. This workshop will guide you through techniques to enhance spinal mobility, build strength around the spine, and safely practice yoga postures with mindful alignment. Whether you're looking to relieve back tension, improve your posture, or support long-term spinal health, this practice offers valuable tools for keeping your spine strong, supple, and resilient as you age. Leave feeling more confident, empowered, and connected to the core of your movement practice.
When we learn the proper alignment of our spine we are empowered. We have the knowledge and ability to feel when it's out of alignment and be able to correct our posture more easily.
This workshop will help you to improve your posture, have greater spine mobility and practice postures while keeping your spine in proper and safe alignment. You will leave feeling more confident in your ability to keep your spine resilient, mobile and healthy as you age!

Shoulders, Head And Neck: A Workshop with Jo Lewzy
Bad posture is a real problem these days. We spend so much time bent over, sitting, standing or looking at our phones. In this workshop we will look at the proper alignment of the shoulder girdle, head and neck. We will work to “undo” all the time we spend bending forward.
Once you have the knowledge of the proper alignment and you strengthen the muscles and align the bones to do their job properly it can create lasting change, heal old injuries and relieve places that have felt tense and weak for years. You will leave feeling empowered to make a lasting change for the better for your posture.
Strong & Supple Legs and Feet: A Workshop with Jo Lewzey
In this workshop you will learn the proper alignment of your feet and legs through understanding the biomechanics. When we properly align we create safety for vulnerable joints such as knees and ankles and learn how to move through the practice from a strength based perspective. You will leave feeling empowered with knowledge of your body and the ability to practice safely and even more effectively to build strength more range of motion and resiliency.

The Psoas: A Workshop with Jo Lewzey
Focusing on the psoas in yoga is powerful because this deep core muscle plays a central role in our posture, movement, and emotional wellbeing. The psoas connects the spine to the legs, making it key to healthy hip flexion, stable alignment, and balanced lower back support.
When the psoas is chronically tight or weak, it can contribute to lower back pain, hip discomfort, poor posture, and even shallow breathing. On the other hand, a responsive, well-aligned psoas helps create a sense of grounding, ease, and fluidity in your yoga practice—and in daily life.
Working skillfully with the psoas in yoga can:
• Improve spinal alignment and core stability
• Enhance freedom and ease in the hips and pelvis
• Support the breath by releasing tension around the diaphragm
• Reduce strain in the lower back
• Help regulate the nervous system, as the psoas is closely linked to our fight-or-flight response

The Pelvic Floor, An Educational And Explorative Workshop With Jo Lewzey
The pelvic floor is a powerful yet often overlooked part of the body. It is known in yoga at “the true core.”
It’s health is essential for providing support for our organs, strength for the whole body and range of motion, stability, and balance in our yoga practice.
Whether the pelvic floor is too weak or too tight, both imbalances can lead to discomfort, instability, lower back pain or even injury as the body compensates in other areas.
In this workshop, we will explore how to access, engage and stretch the three layers of pelvic floor muscles and gradually integrate this awareness into our postures.
Through guided techniques of mindful movement and slowing down, you will develop a deeper awareness of this foundational area, improving overall support and mobility.
If you’ve ever felt tension, weakness, or disconnection in this area, this workshop is for you and for all levels of practitioner.

Stretch and Stroll in Hope Valley!
Join us for a rejuvenating day in nature with a scenic hike through the autumnal aspen meadows of Hope Valley, followed by a grounding vinyasa flow to relax and restore. We'll meet at Amador Yoga at 10:30am, so be sure to pack a lunch, bring plenty of water, and dress in layers to stay comfortable as we move between the crisp mountain air and our practice. Yoga Nidra and Sound Bath
Let go of all doing, and shift into effortless ease. Feel yourself as time transcendent Presence.
Join us for an evening of Sound Bath and Yoga Nidra: transformational Yogic Sleep with the use of crystal singing bowls. We will begin with gentle yoga to open up the body to prepare for an hour of meditative sleep. We will use the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra to release held tension, dis-ease, and trauma from the body, dropping into the space between waking and sleeping.
In this state the innate wisdom of body can help heal and regenerate any blockages taking place within.
Here we will balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems to find deeper relaxation in theta and delta brainwave states. This laying down meditation is available to all bodies, and can help to deepen your personal meditation practice. One hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to three hours of restful sleep! Feel free to bring anything to make yourself supremely comfortable: pillows, blankets (the studio has some available), and eye cover if you'd like.

Wine Wednesday Yoga and Brunch at Rombauer Vineyards Sierra Foothills!

Yoga and Sound Bath
This unique session is designed to open and balance to bring you into a state of deep relaxation and energetic alignment. Our practice will focus on restorative poses. Acro Yoga Play
Acro yoga is a physical partner or group practice where acrobatics and yoga are combined to create postures where at least one person is lifted. Come alone or bring a partner to class!
Acro yoga builds strength, balance, and encourages developing trust and confidence between the practitioners and within oneself.
It may incorporate aspects of acrobatics, yoga, and Thai massage . It is recommended for those without serious injury or physical limitations who have general body awareness and are looking to create and explore in this playful practice.
