Join us for an evening of Sound Bath and Yoga Nidra: transformational Yogic Sleep with the use of crystal singing bowls. We will begin with gentle yoga to open up the body to prepare for an hour of meditative sleep. We will use the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra to release held tension, dis-ease, and trauma from the body, dropping into the space between waking and sleeping.
In this state the innate wisdom of body can help heal and regenerate any blockages taking place within.
Here we will balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems to find deeper relaxation in theta and delta brainwave states. This laying down meditation is available to all bodies, and can help to deepen your personal meditation practice. One hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to three hours of restful sleep! Feel free to bring anything to make yourself supremely comfortable: pillows, blankets (the studio has some available), and eye cover if you'd like.
