Fire and Ice Immersion Therapy

Reap the benefits of controlled cold exposure, sauna usage, and breath work under the skilled guidance of holistic health coach Ernie Hernandez! 

This monthly recovery workshop will begin with 20-30 minutes of movement and instruction to utilize both breath and body as a tool to calm the nervous system. Then, we will complete 3 rounds of alternating ice bath (3 minutes) and sauna exposure (10 minutes) to support stress resilience, reduce cortisol (stress hormone) output, stimulate growth hormone production (which plays a role in building and maintaining muscle), improving the use of fat storage for energy, and more!

*8 person limit per class

*Must sign up through MindBody at least 24 hours in advance. If less than 2 people sign up, event will be cancelled.

*Contraindications: 

If you have any major health condition(s) and/or are on any medication(s), we require that you consult with your physician before attending this workshop. Also please do not attend the workshop under the influence of any alcohol or recreational drugs. Please do not attend if you are hungover as well. 

*Suggested Items and Preparations:

Items to bring with you are; yoga mat, comfortable clothes, swim suit for cold plunge and sauna, sandals, at least one towel (2 is suggested), plenty of water with sea salt/electrolytes to replenish after, and a positive attitude. We will provide water with electrolytes, though we still suggest to bring your own.  

Preparation: Please shower immediately prior to attending the workshop. We suggest to NOT eat any food, NOT drink coffee (caffeinated beverages) or sugary drinks before the workshop. Please DO NOT drink alcohol the night before. We suggest to get plenty of rest the night before.
